60's pop star Peter Jay had long been a producer of his permanent Circus in Great Yarmouth but now he planned to open a Blackpool version in a modern geodesic tented structure inside the famous Blackpool Pleasure beach Themepark. Designing for Circus holds many challenges for example..the band stand above the ring entrance had to be designed to withstand the force of an elephant leaning against it.
